Crap-O

There’s only one thing I love more than football and that is politics. For those of you just joining us please read that with a heavily sarcastic tone.

Speaking of Crap, it used to be a very bad word in my home growing up. Times were different then. My mom even told us we couldn’t watch Animaniacs because they used words like stupid and butt… So yeah, Crap was definitely off limits. I still used it, but only at recess to impress my friends. This might seem a little overzealous of my parents, and really odd for those of you who actually know my parents… but it could have been worse. When he was a kid, my husband said he was not allowed to say “Cowabunga” because his mom didn’t know what it meant and was worried it had a deeper meaning. Like something subliminal that Satan was using through sewer turtles to lead children straight to Hell. Despite their efforts, swearing has become one of my favorite hobbies. So back to Crap, Crap is not as offensive as it used to be, in fact it can be a very polite substitution for the words you really want to use. This is about the extent of my political thoughts. Wait! I do have a politicalish memory to share. In 2000 I was in high school, not quite old enough to vote but close enough to think about who I would vote for between George Bush and Al Gore. That's back when we had regular TV and if there was a debate or election coverage it was like on every freaking channel. I found them both to be extremely boring and had no idea about what they were talking about. I didn’t have a lot of time or attention to give as I was very busy befriending my neighbors on the Sims so I could get them to move in with me and take all their money to build a pool. Anywho, It came down to looks for me. And while Al wasn’t exactly my type he did seem to have a bit more swagger than George. So, Al Gore for the win, but he didn’t win and that was that. Now that I am plenty old enough to vote, I no longer use the same method for choosing my candidate but it did get me thinking about Trump vs. Biden… Enough of that.

I’m trying to figure out how to tie all of this into this week’s design but this is already too long and I personally wouldn’t have even read this far. So do with it what you will.

Craptastically yours,

—Heidi
